Sharons Journey

I am sure many of you have heard that on Tuesday evening January 11th, our mom had a severe stroke.
After starting at UC Davis Med Center(where she received excellent care in a timely manner) she was transferred to Kaiser South on Wednesday night. She may even be moved again as early as Monday the 17th to a Kaiser rehabilitation Center in Vallejo.
As of right now she has complete paralysis on her left side,i ncluding trouble swallowing and some vision impairment.
We as a family have felt it is very important that someone is with her 24/7,
We really appreciate all the love and support we have felt. Mom is aware of everything going on around her and we let her know whenever someone calls, emails, texts, etc. So please don't think your thoughts have gone unnoticed, if we don't respond to everyone.
Her days are very busy with doctors, tests, and therapy, so she is very tired most of the time. So we would appreciate if she had no visitors right now.
That is why we have created this blog. As a way to get the correct information about her condition and her milestones as she recovers out to all those who care about her.
Please feel free to leave a comment we will make sure she see them all.

Well seeing as I can't visit because I'm in Utah! I'm soo glad you made this blog! So if I could talk to you in person Sharon I'd say something like this . . .

I was making cookies today (being Sunday) and was listening to the old seminary soundtracks. I don't remember what song came on but all I know was one minute I was adding chocolate chips and then the other minute I was crying. I just was overcome by the feeling I remember having in your seminary room. To be able to feel your testimony everyday and to know how much you loved the scriptures has had a huge impact in my life. When I open the scriptures I always think of you and the fun quotes you had hanging up in your seminary room. Thank you for that wonderful desire to love and know the scriptures as well as you do.

Know that we will be praying for you and you will be in our thoughts =) Catch you later Sharon!

We are praying for you Sharon. So glad that you are doing better. My mom says that you are as funny as ever and making all sorts of jokes with the doctors. We all love you!
